First Day of Spring
Like the tips of bulbs nestling inside all winter; we too are starting to emerge as the weather is warming. The leaves on the trees are starting to bud and so should your outlook on entertaining!
We have three simple tablescapes created in our showrooms that you can easily make in your own home. We were inspired by the themes of the season, trends, and traditions our exclusive Global Imports line which set the stage stage for our Spring scene.
Dust off your heirlooms sitting in the attic and the beautiful china and tchotchkes! We started with a natural rattan placemat and batik napkin to pull in the colors and textures from a charming countryside. Layer your china and finally, pick some flowers from your garden, or if you don’t have a green thumb we have faux flowers that can radiantly flood any vase. Now you are all set to serve some cucumber tea sandwiches for a delightful luncheon!
For those of us with a wanderlust, this look is inspired by the exotic using handmade porcelain from all over the world. Blue and white is a tried and true combination. One-of-a-kind ginger jars in different shapes and sizes are set all over the table. Each setting has a blue rattan placemat as a backdrop. Continuing the blue and white theme are porcelain chopsticks which rest on top of a neatly folded indigo batik napkin. Something fun to do is take the lid of the ginger jars to cover food on a preset plate. Surprise your guests with something exotic and yummy!
As near to the coast as we are we cannot resist the muse of the Atlantic Ocean.
A fan-folded batik napkin is held by a shell. The use of blown glass balls from our Fall settings filled with dried palms were so popular that we have updated it for the season. We simply changed the glass ball color and put them at each setting rather than a row in the center of the table. Each setting has a rattan placemat inside a woven tray. This look is unique because guests can take everything with them if the weather allows a change from indoor entertainment to an outdoor one.
